Heavenly Hawaii Retreat Home near Hilo & Waterfalls

I had a reservation at Kona, a house with no A/C. So, we rented this place with A/C and all amenities. Unfortunately and with no fault of the host, hurricane hit us and we stayed in for 4 days. No hot water, limited electricity (owner was kind to bring us a unit to connect to refrigerator and one air conditioner in the living room), on Saturday. We ate food but cooking over gas grill. Owner helped as much as he could but his agent brought us a emergency kit which included candles, playing cards and flashlight and kept insisting that we must stay put. Wow.Overall, please is nice and beautiful yard.If I plan to stay at Hillo, I would stay there.I wonder if I am allowed to ask for a discount for this stay

We had a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful and tucked away from the road and busyness, making it feel incredibly peaceful and private. We loved being serenaded by the birds in the evening and especially enjoyed seeing the family of wild pigs during our stay.The home was comfortable, well-appointed, and easily accommodated our party of eight. Just as impressive was the host—communication both before our arrival and throughout our stay was truly 5 stars. We felt well taken care of from start to finish and would absolutely recommend this property to others looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

Good value for the price!!! Would stay again’n Positive: We liked that it was large enough for our group of 10 adults. We liked that it was out of the town but it was a bit too far maybe? We liked all the nature on the property! Negative: Maybe a bit too far from Hilo but we did like the little village! The property was clean but a little run down. The outside could have been cleaned up a bit!

Such a peaceful stay!! Great outdoor space. We enjoyed the view and properly grounds. Communication with host was fantastic!

We had a lovely time at this fun house and AMAZING property. It's a very comfortable home for a family getaway, and within easy walking distance of a few cute stores, two restaurants, farm stands, and a goat-cuddling farm. Highly recommend.
