Volcano Views! Epic Tiny Home on Lava Field

Great stay in unique setting. Description and directions and tips for stay were above and beyond. Highly recommend.

Positive: It was a very interesting experience to stay in such a location. Overall, it was comfortable. Negative: Maybe it would be nice to have a microwave available.

The coolest and most comfortable tiny house I have ever seen, right in the middle of a lava field! Positive: We loved the location on the lava field and the tiny house had a great set up with a covered patio between the kitchen/livingroom and bedrooms. It was large enough to be very comfortable, small enough to be cozy. The night was cool, so it was great to sit outside and watch the stars. Everything was very clean and practical. We loved it! Negative: The water pump is loud, so night time water use was noisy. But besides that minor (and mostly preventable) detail everything was great!

Unique off grid stay but wouldn’t book again due to safety concern Negative: Overall, the accommodation can provide a decent stay for someone looking for a unique, off the grid experience on a lava field. However, the description and pictures of the property were not fully accurate in our view and safety / quality concerns did not justify the price tag. - Safety: Most importantly, there is no proper lock for the master bedroom. From the outside, it is secured with a chain that can easily be removed with a screwdriver or a coin and from the inside it is a very basic lock (feels like it could be opened without much strength or tools). The bathroom cannot be locked from the outside so technically available to the public. The description mentions a locked gate at the entrance of the site - the gate was never locked during our two night stay (arrived at 10pm both days) and there is no fence left and right of the gate, even a car would be able to pass In general the wider area did not feel very safe. - Cleanliness: Bathroom had a lot of insects inside. Given this is a remote and off the grid location this is understandable but should be noted In general, the amenities do not look quite as modern as the pictures suggest - Location: The house is not standalone on a lava field but part of a wider community with further houses in the near vicinity
